Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year
To our returning students and families, and to those joining us for the first time — welcome home.
There is something quietly remarkable about the beginning of a school year. The books are new. The schedules are not yet worn smooth by habit. Students who were freshmen last September return as sophomores with a different look in their eyes — not yet certain of everything, but more certain of themselves. And a new class of freshmen arrives carrying the particular mixture of nerves and hope that belongs only to beginnings.
At Chesterton Academy of St. Michael, we do not take that hope lightly.
This year we welcome another incoming class. They join a school that is still young — still discovering what it fully is — and that is exactly why this moment matters. Every student who chooses CASM in these early years is not simply attending a school. They are helping to build one. They are part of the story we will tell for decades.
To our returning families: thank you for your continued trust. You have seen what this school is becoming, and you chose to stay. That means more than we can easily say.
To our new families: you made a courageous decision. Classical education is not the path of least resistance. It asks more — of students, of teachers, and of parents. But it gives more in return. We are glad you are here.
The year ahead will be full — full of great books, hard questions, Mass, music, rivalry between the Houses, and the kind of friendship that only forms when people are trained to pursue what is true together.
